Pictorial cover and contents in very good condition. 9.5" x 6.5" 48pp The cover has an inset portrait of Little Jimmie and Asher, and a drawing of a family singing around their fireside. This book contains lyrics, melody lines, piano accompaniment, guitar chords and frames to 52 songs. Included are: God's Radio; I'm on the Sunny Side; My Tennessee Rose; Soldier's Sweetheart; The Cowboy's Last Ride; The Royal Telephone; &c. Asher and his son were natives of the Kentucky mountains when "Mother" encouraged them to start their radio career, offering listeners a "clean, entertaining and uplifting" program. Many of the songs, written by guitarist Asher, are of a regional nature. Also present are mountain folk songs, cowboy songs, &c. Tipped inside the back cover is a glossy photo of the Sizemore family, inscribed in the negative. Illustrated by 6 illus from photographs. Second Edition. Binding is original wraps.
