This Folio Three volume set of Lord of the Rings comprises : The Fellowship of the Rings, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, all are 1979 2nd Editions. The grey cloth boards with leather spines have a square maze design in gilt , there is a scuff mark and some lighter marking to the spine of the first volume, The Fellowship of the Ring. There is also some very light marking to the spines on the Two Towers and the Return of the King volumes. The text block on all three volumes is clean ,bright and crisp and appears to be in an unread condition. The slipcase is intact with no wear or blemishes. Book price includes 2nd class parcel post in UK only. All books are photographed in the box they are packed in as proof against in-transit damage..

Bound in original pearl grey quarter calf and light grey cloth, with gilded labyrinth design by Jeff Clements to covers and spine head, gilt spine titles, turquoise blue map endpapers and grey top fore-edges. Housed in a grey and black faux leather slipcase. Spines a touch rubbed and worn, especially to gilt labyrinth designs. Some mild toning to slipcase. Overall, a tight, square copies with contents crisp, bright and free of annotations or inscriptions. Attractive set of Tolkien's high-fantasy epic trilogy. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.

Vignette within a circle to each of the front covers. Green end-papers printed with maps in darker green ink. Burgundy slipcase with large gilt title and border of runes along the top and bottom edges on one of the larger sides of the slipcase. The slipcase is in near fine condition with one of the outer corners bumped, otherwise fine. The books are all in fine condition, very clean inside and out, all volumes. With illustrations by Ingahild Grathmer, drawn by Eric Fraser.

The books are in really good condition with only some small pressing damage here and there. The slipcase is quite worn but still sturdy. Has some big scratches as seen.

All five books and their sleeves are in Fine condition, with no owner's marks, no noticeable wear. The only very minor flaws are 3 barely visible sticker shadows to each slipcase. All five volumes have matching blocked designs and matching maroon sleeves. A superb set. Photos available.
