Present are three issues from 1945: 8 September, 22 September, 17 November. (Volume II, Nos. 4, 6, 14.) These stencilled newspapers were written, illustrated and produced by troops stationed in the Philippines during World War II. They have a decided "GI" tone and offer local unit news, sports and events, profiles of GIs in the Philippine Islands, etc. The mastheads list editor, artists, columnists, etc., with the statement: "Bamboo Bulletin receives CNS material."
