Red buckram covered boards, gold stamped titles at spine, corners bumped but straight, moderate shelf wear to covers, corners, edges and head and tail of spine. Small stain to top outer edge, previous owner's name in ink at front flyleaf, else book body clean, b&w photo illustrations throughout. Signed and inscribed by the author at title page. Green photo illustrated dust jacket shows moderate wear and staining to covers, corners, edges and head and tail of spine, black and white titles at front, black titles at white spine, price intact, archival Brodart protected, color magazine clipping on the author laid in inside Brodart covering front flap.
Synopsis
An Autobiography (1936) is an autobiographical book written by the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru while he was in prison. He was concerned that his father, Motilal Nehru, who was a prominent lawyer in India, disapproved of him going to prison, and he began to wonder how he had ended up there. To sort out this question for himself, he wrote this book.
