A contemporary view on black history and criticism of DuBois, Quarles and Fanon shortly after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. This pamphlet was second in the Black Paper series from the Institute of the Black World, where Vincent Harding was director incorporating the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Center in Atlanta. Written and published while Harding was working on In Praise of Black Women.
