Archive of four pamphlets produced by Stone Kingdom Syndicate about the cultivation and use of marijuana, mescaline, and D.M.T., attributed to author "Mary Jane Superweed." 1968-70. All pamphlets are 16 pages long and approx. 8.5" x 5.5". All are staplebound in softcover wrappers. Archive includes: [1] The Marijuana Consumer's and Dealer's Guide with the New Superior Mescaline Process. N.p.: Stone Kingdom Syndicate, 1968. Light yellow wrappers with green text and green illustration spoofing Michaelangelo's "The Creation of Adam". This pamphlet contains information on extracting LSD, hashish, and mescaline from plants, as well as tips for buying and consuming marijuana safely. Pamphlet includes two hand-drawn diagrams as well as handwritten mail order advertisements for drug paraphernalia on inner back wrapper. Printed on back cover is a list of pamphlets available for mail order from Stone Kingdom Syndicate. [2] Drug Manufacturing for Fun and Profit. N.p. Chthon Press, 1969. White wrappers with bright pink text and pink illustration spoofing Michaelangelo's "David". Billed as a sequel to The Marijuana Consumer's and Dealer's Guide, this pamphlet contains information on making D.M.T., khala-khij, and "Mary Jane Superweed's Super Candy," as well as information on the Church of the Tree of Life, a San Francisco organization which sought to protect drug use under the Constitutional right to freedom of religion by declaring natural psychedelic substances to be religious sacraments. Pamphlet includes several hand-drawn diagrams as well as handwritten mail order advertisements for drug paraphernalia on inner back wrapper. Printed on back cover is a list of pamphlets available for mail order from Stone Kingdom Syndicate. [3] The Complete Cannabis Cultivator. San Rafael: Sunshine Manufacturing & Import Co., 1969. Light green wrappers with orange text and graphic design of a woman in a sunhat and apron watering a plant. This pamphlet provides step by step instruction on the growth and maintenance of marijuana plants with three black and white pictures and three hand-drawn diagrams. The pamphlet is facetiously dedicated to "our beloved leader Mr. R. M. Nixon without whose Mexican-American policy this book might not have been necessary." Printed on the inner front and back wrapper is Stone Kingdom's "Statement to the People". Printed on back cover is a list of pamphlets available for mail order from Stone Kingdom Syndicate. [4] The Super Grass Grower's Guide: A Handbook for High Power Pot Farming. N.p.: Stone Kingdom Syndicate, 1970. Bright orange wrappers with black text and black graphic of a marijuana leaf and three cherubs. This pamphlet provides in depth information on growing marijuana on a large scale, as well as information on the Church of the Tree of Life. Includes four hand-drawn graphs and illustrations as well as handwritten mail order advertisements for drug paraphernalia on inner back wrapper. Printed on back cover is a list of pamphlets available for mail order from Stone Kingdom Syndicate. Overall fine condition. Four excellently preserved artifacts of San Francisco's culturally transformative drug counterculture in the 1960s and 70s.
