Scribner & Welford, NY, circa 1893, (orig. publ. in England., H.C. illustrated by Alfred Pearse and includes 4 maps, X Lib. in VERY GOOD condition. This Young Adult historical novel provides considerable historical information regarding the freeing of the Netherlands while providing an interesting story of a young man who is the central figure. The red cloth over boards cover had gold lettering on the spine only. Cover has light edge wear and corner bumps, heavier wear and end curls to spine and light wear to fr along spine edge. Inside fr. cover has school library sticker, back cover has lib. remnants. Prior owner's name in pencil on f.f.e.p. Otherwise, book is solid, tight and unmarked: VERY GOOD!
