New York: Alfred A Knopf, 1946. Solid copy of author's 11th book in a series that extended to 24 ending in 1957. This was first printed in 1944 but this copy (the 3rd printing) printed in 1946. Light green boards have had some of the color on front board turn yellow but spine and read board a very clean and attractive green. Unmarked, tight and square. Illustrated endpapers. Price clipped jacket has some foxing on verso of jacket spine, a few small chips that do not affect design and light soiling. Jacket now protected in transparent mylar. . 3rd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/VG-. Illus. by Kurt Wiese. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
