Revised edition of the 1982 original publishing. With exquisite detail and illustrations on virtually every page (photo), the Atlas shows the geological evolution of Europe. Displayed in a broad plate tectonic framework with 56 palaeogeographic maps and charts in companion "Enclosures" volume and slipcase (photo). Shell Oil gathered and published this research as part exploring for petroleum deposits on and off the European Continent.
