About This Item

Philadelphia: Henry Altemus Company, n.y.. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Tan cloth with green spine lettering and decoration and large full-color plate on front board, pictorial dust jacket. 255pp, (16pp ads). Frontispiece, line drawings. Very good/very good. Quite mild jacket edgewear. A tight and quite handsome later printing of the fourth and final title in this short-lived series. First published in 1911, but best research (binding, jacket, etc.) dates this edition to 1926-30. A superb copy of this baseball-theme fiction, with delightful front jacket panel art (which matches the front board color plate) by Walter Hayn. Uncommon, especially with such a nice jacket.
