About This Item
1897 hardcover as pictured. A very interesting reference volume for farmers and stockmen as of the late 19th century with detailed sections on horses, cattle, swine, sheep and poultry as well as chapters on potatoes and fruit growing, basic veterinary and legal issues. Also includes fold out manikins to display the anatomy of the horse and the cow. Several contemporaneous newspaper clippings detailing treatment for various animal ailments are loose in the book. Binding is firm. Tan cloth boards with black stamping are soiled with gently bumped corners. Printed endpapers are lightly mottled. Text is tanned at edges with some pages mottled but appears otherwise clean and unmarked. No dust jacket. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s AR
