About This Item
New York: St. Martin's Press, 1976. First American Edition. Small octavo (19cm). Blue cloth-covered boards, titled in gilt on spine; dustjacket; 288pp. Endpapers have been replaced by a previous owner, probably in order to remove ex-library indications; text block edges slightly soiled; mild lean to spine; jacket unclipped (priced $7.95) and externally bright, with a bit of darkening from glue residue at flap-edges. A compromised but not unattractive copy. Dexter's uncommon second book, and the second installment in the Inspector Morse series.
