Scott, Webster, and Geary, 1836. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1836. New Edition. 588 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Black and white illustrated frontispiece and title page, with tissue-guard still present. Gilt text block edges. Severe cracking to front hinge causing board to come away from the text block. Water staining to frontispiece and title page with some markings to endpapers and pastedowns. Text is unaffected. Pages are lightly tanned with faint dust marks on occasion. Pen and pencil inscription to front endpaper and pastedown. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Large splits to joints causing spine strip to come away to ends with small areas of loss. Burn marks to spine ends. Water staining to boards and spine, causing cloth to be discoloured in places. Book has a slight forward lean.
