Press of the Woolly Whale, 1936. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. One of an unspecified number of copies printed by George W. Van Vechten, Jr. for friends of the press at Christmas, 1936. Originally published in 1920. 7.75 x 10.5 inches. 79pp., bound in full linen cloth, with black title label on spine, stamped in gilt, and an inset black leather illustrated label, also in gilt. Over 80 b/w illustrations by Alban B. Butler, Jr. Printed in sixteen point Village No. 2 on Halle mould made paper. A Very Good copy with light rubbing to the cloth. Very scarce.
