New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1961. First edition. Oblong quarto, original cloth. Fine in a very good dust jacket. Inscribed by the author with a drawing on a card pasted in, opposite the title page. Marcia Browne was one of the most honored illustrators in children's literature, is a three-time Caldecott Medalist and six-time Caldecott Honor illustrator, as well as winner of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award for the body of her work.
