First line

The story of Daisy King's career in the restaurant business is as interesting as the food she serves.

Traditional Southern Cooking at Its Finest

In 1978 Daisy King published a small, comb-bound cookbook called Recipes from Miss Daisy's. The book was filled with recipes from Miss Daisy's Tearoom, a place where Southern ladies and gentlemen could dine on traditional food with a Southern flair. with the cookbook in hand, anyone could recreate Miss Daisy's famous dishes--Frozen Cherry Salad, Miss Daisy's Tea Punch, Miss Daisy's Beef Casserole, Creamed Chicken over Corn Bread, Bourbon and Chocolate Pecan Pie, and others.

Over the years that little green-and-yellow cookbook has gone through many printings, never being out of print. Ask anyone in Nashville if they've heard of it, and more likely than not the answer will be that not only have they heard of it, they own a dog-eared and stained copy themselves.

Cumberland House is proud to present a 25th anniversary edition of Recipes from Miss Daisy's. This edition is revised to add helpful information to the recipes, but every recipe that was in the original edition is contained within. Enjoy!
