Quarter bound in publisher's blue (Vol. I) and green (Vol. II) cloth over black cloth boards, gilt lettering on spines and covers and numerous gilt insignia embossed on overs. Lavishly illustrated with color and B&W photographs, maps and drawings. A history combining new selections from the greatest chronicler of the War and the most memorable illustrations by the men who took part in it. The text of this book was specially abridged by Denis Kelly from Sir Winston Churchill's six-volume memoirs entitled The Second World War. The photographs and paintings were selected from the finest work of World War II made by both allies and enemies. A large and heavy set - additional shipping charges may apply. . Former owner's name on feps, head, heel and edges slightly worn, otherwise unmarked, tight and square. Lacking the 78 rpm record. The slipcase is worn along the edges but strong. VERY GOOD..
