Freginald the bear cub takes center stage as he joins the circus and learns how to write poetry from Freddy the pig. 9.25'' x 6''. Original brown cloth boards with red and green titles and pictorial elements to spine and front board. Original unclipped ($2.00) color pictorial dust jacket. Pictorial endpapers of a circus caravan, green topstain. Black and green-tinted illustrated title spread with nine full-page black and green-tinted illustrations and numerous in-text black-and-white illustrations throughout. [8], 249, [3] pages. Book with faint spotting to cloth, overall unusually nice. Jacket with some soiling and spotting (mostly to rear panel), sunned spine, a bit of creasing and edgewear, one larger chip at top of front panel.
