The book pictured (6 images) is the copy being sold. This printing was a limited edition (500 copies). The staining and wear to the boards is pictured; the binding is tight, other than a small book dealer small label on the bottom inside cover, the book is clean, unmarked, showing only light tanning. After the editor's introduction and the title page, the book's top edges are uncut. The book's weight is 2 lbs., dimensions 7.25 x 10.5 inches. "First published in Venice in 1499, in an elegant page layout, with refined woodcut illustrations in an Early Renaissance style, Hypnerotomachia Poliphili presents a mysterious arcane allegory in which Poliphilo pursues his love Polia through a dreamlike landscape, and is, seemingly, at last reconciled with her by the Fountain of Venus."
