No date but presumably 1955-6. Dedication to front free endpaper dated 1956, and signed by author (as 'Mary Hughes', her married name, and initialed 'M.W.W.'). Yellow cloth good with some small stains. Internally good, a few pencil marks to some of the poems. Foxing to page edges. Dust-wrapper rubbed and soiled in places, with chipping to edges. Loosely inserted is the typescript of an extra poem by Mary Winter Were, 6 lines, entitled 'A Prayer: Summer 1944'.
