About This Item
London: William Tegg , 1849 Reprint or new edition, as preface is dated 1832. HB. Full leather with gilt titles on red and black leather panels to spine, with gilt decorations and borders. All page edges and endpapers marbled. A handsomely bound volume that belonged to William Thomas, Baron Bolton, with his armorial bookplate inside front cover, and inscribed by him as Bolton to margin of title page. Large octavo, 1643pp. With 114 b&w engravings in text. Very Good. The front cover is held at the internal hinge by one cord, otherwise the binding is sound and the pages largely very clean (with a little spotting to ends) and the covers bright and clean with some edge rubbing and scuffs to the leather.
