Vol 1 is England from the Ancient Times to the Reign of Henry the Fifth and Vol 2 is England from the reign of Henry the Sixth to the Revolution of 1688. Map and illustrations. Prior owners names in front, otherwise clean and tight. The dedication says "This Child's History of England is dedicated to my own dear children, whom I hope it may help, by-and-by to read with interest larger and better book on the same subject. Christmas, 1851" This most likely was written prior to this printing and actual publication date is not published in either volume section. Scarce.
