Chatterbox 1911, Clarke, J. Erskine. Published by Dana Estes & Company, Boston, 1911. 4to 11" - 13" tall; 412 pages with both color and black and white illustrations. Red cloth boards with pictorial pastedown to front and stylized blocked titles on gilt background front; gilt titles spine and blocked design rear board. Inscription to pastedown: " To Eleanor from Mamma Christmas 1911". Light soiling to endpapers; a few pages have been painted or colored; 5 pages have closed tears, a few folded corners and sporadic soil and or thumb marks. Boards have rubbing to edges and corners; hinge is weakened with exposed webbing to gutter in a few places; pages all secure.
