Circa 1930. 8vo up to 9½" tall., 431pp. Illustrated with 20 tipped-in colour illustrated plates by Thomas Heath Robinson. Red cloth boards with gilt embossed illustration and titles to front and spine; top edge gilt; outer page edges uncut; illustrated endpapers. Foxing to preliminaries with occasional foxing marks to text block; plates are in fine condition. Boards have moderate wear with water spots front; light spine lean; contents lightly shaken.
Synopsis
The Swiss Family Robinson is a novel, first published in 1812, about a Swiss family who are shipwrecked in the East Indies en route to Port Jackson, Australia.
