Self Published, 1974. First Edition. Wraps. Very Good. [30] printed pages staple bound into printed cream colored wraps' each page has a drawing on the front with printed text on the back. Measuring 12.5 x 4' Light soiling to the covers, and slight wear to the corners, else a Very Good copy. 'A self-published narrative prose poem 'anthem' of love and despair for the Orange County region and its diminished ecology, written from alternating perspectives, and features Carr's pen and ink drawings, stylistically and politically suggestive of the tradition of poet-illustrators Kenneth Patchen and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.' WorldCat only locates one copy outside of his archives housed at UC Irvine.

From the library of Denise Levertov; this copy is signed by Rae Armantrout, Dave Bullen, Don Cushman, Stephen Donelan, Katherine Gowan, Rochelle (Shelly) Nameroff, Jack Niles, David Shaddock, Isak Shurin, Bill Snow, Arthur Weiner, and Vivian Wills. Poems and artwork contributed by members of Denise Levertov's Poetry Workshop at UC Berkeley, Winter and Spring Quarters, 1969. Profit from the sale of this chapbook were to be given to Allen (Alan) Blanchard, who was blinded by gunfire from a police offer during the May 15 protest in Berkely, know as 'The Battle for People's Park'. 26 lettered copies were printed and signed by a few contributors, this copy was Levertov's so it was not signed by her. Signed by Charles Bukowski at lower left (thiss is an actual and authentic Charles Bukowski autograph, not part of the image). Scarce original black-and-white photograph of Charles Bukowski, part of the classic series by Richard Robinson dating from the early 1970s. This particular view, landscape in format, shows Bukowski in a close-up head-and-shoulders view, in partial profile, looking thoughtfully into the distance, a rundown Skid Row-esque street scene behind him. This great portrait is one of the scarcer images from Robinson's series. Several of the images from this photo shoot were for a number of years distributed by Bukowski's publisher Black Sparrow Press to media outlets for use in news coverage (and appeared with joint credits in the LA Times, Baltimore Sun, etc.). 10 x 8 inches, framed.
