About This Item
Curiously, the dust jacket uses 'For Ever' while the title page uses 'Forever'. Good vintage Burnett story about confidence trickster who is persuaded to put off his retirement to fleece the sucker to end all suckers. The story was taken up by Hollywood as subject of 1946 film. A very good copy with dust to top edge with slight browning to page edges as the book was published to 'War Economy Standard' corners of boards with slight bumping. Orange cloth boards with white lettering to spine. Dust jacket with browning to edges and tanning to spine and some chipping to extremities and loss to top of spine top.
