Toronto: J.M. Dent & Sons (Canada), 1955. 84 pp, 8vo (8 3/16" H). "Journalist, economist, scholar, humorist - B.K. Sandwell's death in 1954 robbed Canada of one of her most lively and versatile intellects. Written over a period of thirty years, these essays have a timeless quality and a gleeful approach to the business of day-to-day life that will make them as acceptable to the generations that follow B.K.'s as they were to his own. Ancestors, etiquette and even bathrooms, among other topics, are at their happiest when viewed through the eyes of B.K. Sandwell." Gift inscription in ink on the front free endpaper, light toning to the endpapers, very light browning to the edges of the boards (including one or two foxing marks) and on the spine, one very small corner bump, very light wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spine. Dust jacket has light browning at the edges and moderate browning on the spine, a tear at the top of the rear hinge and at the top of the rear flap-fold with two crease between them, dust jacket is now protected in removable mylar sleeve. . Not Signed. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good-/Good.
