Moominmamma tried to pass this over hastily; but still Moomintroll was worried. But soon there were new things to worry about, for the volcano erupted so that Moomin Valley was flooded. Fortunately the Moomins found shelter in a house that floated by which turned out to be an abandoned theatre. Emma, the old stage rat, didn't like them much, and Moomintroll and the Snork Maiden got left behind in a tree and Little My got washed away..." Synopsis

Moominsummer Madness (Swedish title Farlig midsommar, ‘Dangerous Midsummer’) is the fourth in the series of Tove Jansson's Moomins books, published in 1954. The novel forms the basis of episodes 28-30 in the 1990 TV series.
