Greenaway incoporates people from the town of Strasbourg who agreed to pose nude for him into beautiful full color collages and images that represent various themes, myths and characters that have fascinated mankind. Includes detailed notes on all of the allegories by Greenaway along with intro by him. There is a minute mended tear to the top edge of the spine and front cover otherwise the book is vg+. A feast for the eye and mind.

Very handsome limited edition consisting of two 11" x 14" prints by the poet & critic John Perreault & the artist Ira Joel Haber. 1 page is printed on light brown heavy stock paper & is a hand written text poem by Perreault. The 2nd page is a full color serigraph of collage of buildings with coloring added by Haber, printed on heavy stock white paper. Placed in a white folder, that has very minute soiling. Fine.

Laid in are two rare brochures and booklets "Jasper Johns Process and Printmaking" 16pgs. with illustrations and "Jasper Johns a Retrospective" a large foldout brochure with illustrations. Both are from the Museum of Modern Art in 1997.

Hard to put one's finger on his work, surreal, gentle odd and above all wonderful. Color covers with black and white comics inside featuring Quimby the mouse. a touch of light wear to the cover, otherwise a near fine copy.

Seattle: Fantagraphics Books, 1993. First Printings . Small Paper. A rare set of 5 issues of the great Chris Ware's Acme Novelty books. The collection includes: No. 1-1993-94, No. 5-1995, No. 6 VI(6) 1999, No. 7. 1999 and No. 11 which is dated 1998 which doesn't make sense. In any case each issue is beautiful and in full color filled with Ware's small surreal drawings including the adventures of Jimmy Corrigan. Each book is in pristine unread condition and is being offered as a collection only.

A controversial book when published. The title page, superb endpapers and 19 beautiful wood engravings are by John Farleigh and are outstanding. Laid in the book is a rare small copy of a reprint of the period of the book of the month club news which has Heywood Broun writing about the book. The dustjacket is near fine with a few minute small chips and the book itself is fine.

The image shows an African American nude woman reclining in a chair and features fine beautiful details that Pearlstein is noted for. The print is signed and dated in pencil and is no. 30/125. Faint wear to the very top edge of the print. Fine.

New York: The Dial Press, 1978. First American Edition . Boards & Cloth with Dustjacket. Well received novel that won the James Baldwin Prize for its author, who down the road took his own life. The book is illustrated with line drawings by the author's brother, the late artist Benn Andrews who also did the artwork for the dustjacket. Very minute discoloration to the white dustjacket which is common with this book and a tiny mended tear to the top corner of the front panel of the dustjacket. Vg+/vg+
