Fine soft cover in publisher's original red with black lettering. At the very bottom of the back cover and the blank page there is red bleeding through, maybe an inch long and 1/16 of an inch tall. Else a fine copy. Don't think if the book was published in hardcover. Laid in is an offprint discussing Royal 18 B XXV by Powell and Alan J. Fletcher.

The book is in acceptable condition, maybe better. Firstly, the spine is darkened and dull, some staining and the head of spine is worn down to the page block. The book is in acceptable condition with the following detractions: the cover is pretty worn, mostly along edges. The quarter leather spine is missing the cap at the top and there is also wear along edges, the cover panel edges are worn and bumped with loss of paper in thos areas; the attractive facsimiles were not folded propely so that they would be flush with the text but they weren't so there is crumpling to edges; tears to flyleaf; the page block is in pretty good shape –the pages are still uncut, except for introduction and the end pages.
