About This Item

New York: Knopf, 2003. First Edition. . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Cavell's first book is this collection of nine short stories focused on what it takes for a young American male to find his machismo or, at the very least, to appear to have found it. These stories are comic, their protagonists the tragic figures of our time. First Edition, First Printing. About 6 x 8 1/2 inches, 191 pages in black and grey paper-covered boards with silver lettering on the spine. The pictorial dustjacket features a young man flexing his biceps under black lettering with silver lettering on black on the spine. Boards and text are clean, complete and unmarked. Not ex libris or remaindered. Dustjacket shows no more than a touch of rubbing, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped. A collectable copy.
