The award-winning Donaldson is well known for his bestselling science fiction/fantasy novels but in the 1980s, he published three paperback originals featuring Mick "Brew" Axbrewder, a private detective who shot and killed his brother, a cop, and now lives in an alcoholic haze with occasional jobs requiring more muscle than brains tossed his way by his former partner, Ginny. But the newest case is different. The daughter of Axbrewder's dead brother has disappeared and the brother's widow wamts Axbrewder and Ginny to find her. Slightly revised from the paperback original published under the pseudonymn, Reed Stephens. First Printing, First Edition Thus. 254 pages in black boards with green lettering on spine. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows a couple of thin scratches on front panel, other minor surface and edge wear, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped.
