About This Item

New York: Sotheby's, 1996. First Printing, First Edition Thus. . Mass Market Paperback. Near Fine to Fine. An anthology of forty-two short stories, including 16 original stories created for this volume, by an international all star lineup of crime writers. In addition to names familiar to all mystery-crime fans, such as Grafton, Mosley, Hillerman, Ellroy, James, Block, Westlake and Kaminsky, there are many, such as DeLillo, Oates, Carver, Marquez, Barthelme and Mishima not usually seen in such a collection but most assuredly belonging in this one. The text is clean and unmarked, tight and square; it appears unread. The pictorial wrappers show only a minimal bit of surface wear, no tears, creases or chipping. Collectable.
