About This Item
New York: Bantam Books, 2002. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. The second novel from a writer still new to the crime-thriller ranks. Her first, "In The Forest of Harm," won critical praise for its complexity of characters and credibility of plot, and "A Darker Justice" delivers more of the same. It features Assistant District Attorney Mary Crow, who returns to her North Carolina childhood home at the request of the FBI in an attempt to protect a federal judge from a ruthless serial killer who has already murdered three judges. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows a quarter-inch closed tear in the upper edge of the front panel that continues down the panel as a scratch for a little over 2 inches. O/w, the dj is near fine with a touch of bumping at the top of the spine. No other tears, no creases or chipping, not price-clipped.
