New York, 1956. First Edition. Letter. Very good. Deustch thanks McDonald for the NYPL Bulletin, references Miss Moakley's contribution, her essay on the Tarot and thanks more for the 'trouble that you went to in connection with the Maillard pictures'

New York, 1972. Letter. Good. Schjeldahl writes re: Kurtulus, and asks if his name 'really' means "A Happy Branch" in Turkish and if so, could Ayden describe the Turkish word, that is what part means happy, and what part means branch. Signed in violet ink, creaslined with several spots and bit of rumbled corner.

New Hampshire , 1951. Letter. Fine. In the letter Downey thanks McDonald for the addtions to the saga of GI Jenny, and speaks of his mascot series in Blue Book with Charlemagne's elephant. "Ill see you anon in my favorite haunt, the NYPL", Fairfax Downey

Short letter on blue paper, written from 65 Mt. Vernon Street, regarding a table being received from customs.  Creasing, wear.

Near fine. Bi-fold, chain lined paper, with two pages of large handed script. Charles writes that he has been very unwell, missed an event, but invites the recipient to take tea.
