Pictorial bookplate of noted zoologist and marine biologist James Glen Mead mounted to front pastedown, with his ink signature to upper front endpaper. Spine ends nudged, lower corners bumped (though still sharp), faint foxing to endpapers and text edges, with a shallow clip to upper right corner of front endpaper; text is clean internally; Very Good+. Dustjacket is price-clipped, lightly edgeworn, with a few faint creases to lower front panel, and a vertical crease along the front flap; scattered foxing, a small, partial sticker, and some adhesive residue from an old-style jacket protector along upper and lower edge on verso; Very Good. Pratchett's first book, a comic fantasy with concepts later incorporated into his long-running and much-loved Discworld series.
