Description:
Edinburgh: Constable & Co., 1828. First printing. Hardcover. Good or better. 3 1/2 x 6 inches. Small uniform format hardcover, thin boards, full green cloth. Edges softened, spine faded to brown; paper label present, discolored but still readable. No ffep, first page is an advertisement (for by book on the life of John Burns). Half title page; title page with illustrated engraving, ocean scene with castle in background. A second title page is present with differences, without an illustration, there is no frontipiece if called for. Binding is very sound, tight. Interior is unmarked. Some light foxing to a few pages; also, some heaving foxing to a few pages; but most pages are bright and clean. Fore- and bottom edges of text block were neatly opened with deckled edges present. 335 pp. Questions welcome. Images can be made upon request.
