This transcription reflects the early settlement of old-stock Americans, plus the later migration of Germans to the area. Partial transcriptions of early Gasconade County marriage records have appeared in one form or another, but this volume is the first to include books A, B, and C in their entirety. No death or confirmation records have been included in this volume because death records were not kept until 1846 and confirmations were not recorded until 1856.
