In AS NEW blue cloth-covered boards, with bright gilt titing to spine. In the original publisher's glossy pictorial unclipped dust-jacket - The book is AS NEW - UNREAD. It came from the library of one of the Authors, The late Joyce Irene Whalley, - BUT it was stored on a shelf and the base colour to the dust-jacket spine ONLY, has faded/changed colour with exposure to light. All titling to the d/j spine, however, is very Clear and Deep. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover. The rest of the book inside and out is very clean, tight, bright and unread. Page fore-edges white and unmarked. Internally - NO INSCRIPTIONS OR MARKS. 268pp. Reproduction Techniques of Book Illustration; Bibliography; Bibliographical notes to the Illustrations; Acknowledgements; List of Early Publishers; General Index. With 172 b/w Illustrations and 37 Colour Plates. As to the content - The Title says it all - It covers 'From the beginning ... To the present (1988). An Invaluable reference tool - and a fascinating read for anyone interested in the subject, professional or not. .
