Very rare offprint, printed in small numbers in the small Italian town of Foligno, of two memoirs published the previous year in the Description of Egypt. Dubois-Aymé (1779-1846), engineer of bridges and roads was part of the expedition to Egypt as 'member of the Commission of Sciences and Arts of Egypt'. Good copy at all margins, in its original brochure (trace of worm in the inner margin of some leaves).

Cornelius De Bruyn (1652-1726/7), Dutch traveler and painter, had spent several years in the Levant between 1678 and 1685. The work collects the observations and illustrations made during this trip.
