Description:
Cleveland: Bloch and Company, 1950. Hardcover. 61p., maps as called for exhibited fullpage and in colors (the colorwork is odd, perhaps a Bloch family choice). Hardbound in aquagreen cloth boards gilt and enclosed in its dust jacket. Book itself has badly toned endpapers, and an ownership bookplate has been laid over both dj and pastedown, fastening the one to the other (rear of dj is free, and we have inspected for flaws). There's some ownership pencilling near the bookplate, the dust jacket is dusty and edgeworn, item is otherwise sound and clean.

Description:
Paris: Imprimerie Saint-Denis, 1948. Original Wraps. Small rubricated folder of eight caricature-portraits of the cast, a ninth counting the one of Sartre on the cover. The eight portraits were printed on glazed alkaline paperstock, no indication that this a complete set but they fit the folder nicely. Folder has split along spinefold and is nearly detached, dust and mild edgewear to both covers, and a faint erasure; portrait stock glaze has decayed and covers one's fingertips with white powder. As is, and oh yes, one other flaw: Dadzy portrays Sartre without his wall-eye, the eyes as shown are both open and directed forward. Item has a colophon of sorts; on a flap built into back cover, read this text: "Ce fascicule, le premier de la collection 'Leurs Silhouettes', a ete tire a mille exemplaires dont 250 constituant l'edition originale numerotes de 1 a 250" -- our copy not numbered.
