Dirk Hagner: "The album uses a quote from Polish poet Wislawa Szymborska employing texting as a means to allow use of larger type in the letterpress process than would be normally possible. 'All is mine and nothing owned for memory, and mine only while I look.' Much like a jpeg photograph the words compress when texted to fewer letters; however, when read, it 'resurrects' to the full wording. It allowed the effective use of some pied wood type.

Hanmer: "When my father died I became very intrigued with and comforted by the idea that after a 34 year separation, he and my mother were now reunited. As I looked at family photographs, spoke to their old Navy friends, and made a timetable of their life together, I found that they were often separated even during their 19 years together. Reunion explores their many separations, reunions, and final union."

The text on the right hand pages of the book is excerpted from a letter by Wilbur to engineer and flight scholar and experimenter Octave Chanute, outlining the brothers' plans for solving the problem of flight.
