Used; Like New/Used; Like New. A rare collection of seventeen English handbills and programs, each featuring the great violinist in the early years of her remarkable and enduring career. Various sizes and formats, all in fine condition, dating from 1937 - 1950. Haendel, who continued to perform well into her eighties, was one of the great child prodigies. In 1935, at age 7, she was a finalist in the Wieniawski Competition (Neveu and Oistrakh took 1st and 2nd prizes) and later made her London debut under Sir Henry Wood in 1937.

Used; Like New/Used; Like New. A very fine large original signed and numbered photograph, an iconic image of the great violinist. Silver gelatin emulsion photograph from Hurrell Portfolio III, 1979, signed "Hurrell" in lower left corner and numbered 34/50. Matted and framed; measures 43 x 55.25 x 1.5 inches; within mat 36 x 48 inches. Frame with a few small cracks to one corner, otherwise in very fine condition. George Hurrell is credited with creating the glamour image of Hollywood through his lush and beautifully illuminated portraits of film and music stars. He set the new Hollywood standard for all that followed. In 1979-1982 he released three portfolios in limited editions, for which all printing and quality was supervised by Hurrell and each print was signed and numbered in pen by him. The present rare photograph is from one such portfolio.
