A wonderful copy from one of America's first (and best) multicultural illustrators. A sharp, attractive copy, first edition, number line reads 1 2 3 4 5 6. Book is clean, no markings or writing. Jacket has price intact ($7.95), does have a 5" wrinkle on front cover but no tear, another small wrinkle near bottom edge of front of jacket, minor wear at corners and on both ends of spine on DJ; small (1/4") closed tear on back DJ. Overall, outstanding.

A great tweed copy of this title, showing a few bumps and one single page that got crushed sometime in the 60's but is perfectly flat and readable! Internal lists to Ghost in the Gallery, placing this copy circa 1955. No writing, very clean; endpapers are bright green and lovely. Jacket lists to Ghost in the Gallery on front flap and has a nifty ad for the series on the back; this ad is uncommon. Wrap dust jacket is very good in Brodart -- some closed tears and discoloration from age.

Wrap dust jacket is good in Brodart, showing wear and a few holes on the flap folds on both the front and back, but jacket is intact (just stored poorly). Some minor closed tears. Overall, a nice displayable copy.
