Description:
New York: Harcourt, 1966. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. 1st edition. A contemporary signed and inscribed presentation copy dated "1966" and few copies are seen that were dated in the year of publication. Fine in fine price clipped dustjacket (clipped by Keyes when he gifted the book) without a single nick, or tear, no fading, aging or soiling. Fine condition is scarcer than inscribed with this book. Originally written as a short story in 1959, Keyes expanded and polished "Flowers for Algernon" to complete the novel. Keyes use an ‘uplift' device , increasing the intelligence of a mouse and takes it a step further to mirror the transformation of his human protagonist. It's an influential book that has been awarded, successfully adapted multiple times, challenged and banned.

Description:
London: Sayer & Bennett, 1787. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. 1st edition. Folio (16" X 22"), 23 maps on 35 double sheets, all hand colored in outline, with some areas fully colored. A milestone on the trail of progressively expanded versions, a lineage that evolved from Kitchin's single country atlases to the entire world starting in 1773 (the same year he was appointed royal hydrographer to King George III). It is meaningfully dated 1782 on the title page and decidedly distinguished by the earliest map of the nascent United States with its new borders, settled in 1782 and reconfirmed during the Jan. 1783 stage of the Peace of Paris (the treaty ending the American Revolutionary War, finally signed on Sep. 3, 1783). Contemporary boards, rebacked in calf, else near fine throughout, the finest of these we have seen, emitting all the elegance of differential calculus, and scarcer in this condition than reliable reports on where the tooth fairy gets all her money. RBH lists 2 complete copies…

Description:
New York: McCall Company, 1945. First Edition. Wrappers. Very good. June 26, 1945 issue of Look Magazine, in which the first published photograph by Stanley Kubrick is on page 25. Also containing an important article for Alcoholics Anonymous collectors delving into an account of a bender, as-well-as a look back for the 10 year anniversary of AA. Rubbing, creases, vertical fold line, else very good and complete. Kubrick began his love for photography at 13, becoming the official photographer at his high school, a street photographer after school, eventually landing a job as an assistant photographer at Look Magazine a few months after this issue was published. He quickly showed an aptitude for story telling and covered a wide range of topics from circuses, to boxing matches, to jazz musicians and New York socialites.
