London: T. M'Lean, 1841. Engraved title, list of subjects and twenty-five plates. Publishers quarter morocco and moire cloth, title and author in gilt to spine and upper cover, primrose endpapers. Complete with lithographic vignette title and twenty-five full-page tinted lithographs, with list of subscribers laid in. London: John Harding, 1812. [9], 10-105pp, [1], plates. Half calf and marbled paper over boards, smooth back, divided into six panels with gilt rules, title lettered direct to second panel, remaining panels with small lozenge shaped tool to centre. Though the title page calls for forty plates, the work is complete with thirty-eight (as explained on page twelve). Some mispagination, with pages 7/8 and 17/18 being skipped, with pages 59/60 doubled. J.[ohn] C.[laudius] Loudon, (1783 - 1843) was a Scottish…
