Well worn, contents toned at margins with some coming loose and chipping in places, just good, with one volume being better described as fair. Gripping collection of photographs - about three per page, cumulatively hundreds - taken by the German side during The Great War, with substantial preliminary text (in German) which is apparently of a war-diary nature, being organized chronologically by month and day. Oblate vertical rectangle (see scan) Escutcheon-shaped, with a top right - to top left cant (slope), as designed (see scan) 4 1/8" x 2 15/16". Manufacture and art uncredited, circa 1978. Apparently, this particular CN Tower patch is now quite scarce, perhaps because the tower has not, in fact, been the world's tallest structure for some years now, hence newer patches do not have that slogan. As New; see scan. What looks like perimeter spots of soil are not; those are artifacts of differential reflectivity in scanning. Stored in zip-lock since acquisition in Toronto in (about) 1978. 'Journey Into Deep Space - Glow in the Dark Jigsaw Puzzle', with included large poster. As a 24" diameter puzzle of 212 Pieces, apparently larger than the few others of its clan. Box as shown is 11 1/2" square, has plastic carrying handle. Contents New, box shows modest shelf wear and a small area of former price tag residue (upper left corner of box); puzzle has never been used, with pieces still sealed in their bag, poster never unfolded. Vintage, from the early seventies, when the Convention Center was referred to - at least in this souvenir patch of the day - as the Convention Hall instead. Manufacture and art uncredited, but was probably Voyager Patch of Sanborn, NY. As New, flawless. See scan. In sealed storage since acquired new by yours truly in Wildwood in 1973. Radiant threads in maroon, sky blue and green on a light gray background, all as engagingly luminous as when new.Those few white peripheral thread ends are As New, as well, and just go with the territory. Oval, 3 /1/2" major axis x 3" minor axis. Manufacture and art uncredited, circa 1977. Near Fine; obverse is, in fact, As New, and quite completely flawless; reverse is nearly likewise, but shows some paper residue (see scans). Stored in zip-lock since acquisition in (about) 1977, in DC. Apparently, a scarce variant; we've found no exactly-matching Apollo XIV mission patch among those somewhat numerous variants. In particular, the gold threads are not just gold threads; they are gold and glitter-gilt threads. See text. 7 1/16" x 3 1/16" laminated Sunday Breakfast Voucher from New York City's famed Hotel Victoria. Flawless condition. Since the Hotel Victoria - built by Paran Stevens in 1877, as the only hotel in NYC to ever have entrances on both Broadway and Fifth Avenue - was razed to the ground in 1914, this is a likely recreation, based on the fact that it is laminated and incorporates one typeface we do not consider likely to have been in use prior to 1914. This is the subscriber limited edition of "Bizarre Fungi" which came in several background colors. 4" diameter patch, reddish-brown fox-like creature with red-gold-cream mushrooms growing out of a green slash in its side, all embroidered on a sky-blue background with medium blue stars and an orange outer border embroidered on it as well. Still in its original bag with its backing card. Note that the scans were made through the transparent plastic bag in order to maintain the never-opened status. The single stamp is bordered at top with a sheet-edge type cartoon of a letter carrier, and the month hereon is denoted as "July" rather than "Jul", neither of which points have been noted elsewhere by us (although they presumably do exist).
