Adventures of Don Quixote de la Mancha, Translated from the Spanish of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra by Charles Jarvis, with Illustrations, Complete in One Volume, New York: A.L. Burt Publisher. Undated by estimated at circa 1910. Burgundy boards with gilt lettering and pictorial on spine and embossed crest on front and rear covers. Black and white full-page illustrations. 811 pages, 7.5" x 5.25" (8vo).
This is a sought-after collector's volume in rare VG+ condition. Suitable as bespoke gift or investment book. Compare with the couple of other copies of this book currently available on the internet at $295-$385, both in considerably lesser condition.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, tipped-in color plates by Harry Rountree, published by Sully and Kleinteich, New York, 64 pp., 8" x 10". 1915 (n.d., but see Morgan Library; www.themorgan.org/printed-books/344180). Red cloth stamped in gold with color plate mounted on front cover, with paste-in color pictorial. Original dust jacket present (see below).
This volume has been a gem of our personal bookshelf, but we've decided to list it for sale for the first time. Rountree's beautiful color plates and its extreme scarcity make this an aspirational goal for Alice collectors; the condition and presence of the DJ make this book literally unique.
Overall condition of book is Very Good. Cover corners and edges are sharp, with the lightest of wear. Light foxing of interior of front and rear boards, where not enclosed by DJ. Binding is tight.
