Overall a veyr good copy in publishers blue cloth with black and gilt illustration to the front board in between gilt lettering and black double ruled lines at the top and bottom. Spine illustrated and lettered in gilt. Yellow endpapers. Cloth is a bit rubbed and the spine is darkened, although the gilt still very visible. Overall a very good copy of this interesting book. Purports to be the reminiscences, noted down by the author, of an old negro at Apia, the first "white man", i.e. British subject, established in the group.
