New York: LINES, 1966. Some light soiling to the wrappers, generally fine. 11 x 8.5 inches. Mimeographed. 26 leaves. Printed on rectos only. Stapled in wrappers, typographic cover design by Perrault. First edition. Introduction by John Ashbery: "The first person singular occurs throughout these poems, like a key signature in music, but the poems are not meant as autobiography and in fact tell us nothing about the poet... The poems are simultaneously big, important and world-ordering; and small, odd and private..." Perreault was an art critic at The Village Voice and The SoHo Weekly News and an early champion of feminist art and the craft-oriented pattern and decoration movement in the 1970s.

Description:
New York: Farrar Straus Giroux, 1976. First edition and first printing, signed by Meiselas on the title-page at a later date. A very good copy in silver paper covered boards with some light bumping to the top right corners and some faint foxing to the preliminary pages and in an about very good dust jacket with a large chip to the top of the front panel and with some other edge tears and wear. Despite the flaws a solid copy of a book that is very prone to wear and is seldom found in anything approaching fine condition. 8.75 x 10 inches. 150 pages. Original silver cloth; original fragile printed dust jacket. Meiselas' pioneering first book, a collection of black-and-white photographs documenting Meiselas's three-year travels to strip shows. "Meiselas portrayed the women and men caught up in this world with great sensitivity, balance and respect making 'Carnival Strippers' a remarkably human document" (Roth 238-239).

First edition. "Modernist experimental homes. Prototypes for everyone The Case Study House program (1945-66) was an exceptional, innovative event in the history of American architecture and remains to this day unique. The program, which concentrated on the Los Angeles area and oversaw the design of 36 prototype homes, sought to make available plans for modern residences that could be easily and cheaply constructed during the postwar building boom. The program's chief motivating force was Arts & Architecture editor John Entenza, a champion of modernism who had all the right connections to attract some of architecture's greatest talents, such as Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames, and Eero Saarinen. Highly experimental, the program generated houses that were designed to re-define the modern home, and…
